Perfect night with a great couple. Even though it’s the shortest season of the year, Chicago is beautiful in the Fall.
Wish I had more time to blog!!
Simple fact of the matter is I have zero time to blog. Plus I sorta dislike the word blog, and vlog, and most things social media related. But I'll try to post more.
Here are a few pics from the past couple weeks of weddings.
Rainy Day Weddings, no fear
These two set the bar pretty high for being cool, fun, roll-with-it kind of clients. Rainy day in Chicago. No fret. Congrats Lara & Chris, let's do it again!

Architectural design interiors
I've made a decent living from photographing moving subjects, i.e. humans. Rare opportunities allow me to photograph stationary objects or architecture. Today was one of those rare times. I love being able to visit spaces and absorb and photograph it's essence. These images are of a design showroom at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago.
Surf's up
My current passion project is surf photography. I've been working in the water for the past 3 years or so, getting an up close and personal view of surfing. It's incredibly fun and challenging. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the water.
Working with light
I try to keep busy with editorial or beauty photography when I'm not photographing a wedding or engagement. This collaboration with Zee Artistry is still one of my favorites.
Travel photography
I've always struggled with travel/street photography. During my last trip to Paris I tried my best to channel my inner Henri Cartier-Bresson. I did my best, but his work remains unmatched.
On your next trip abroad, do yourself a favor and bring along a film camera and a case packed full of B&W and color film. The following images were captured on a Contax 645 camera
A look back
Here's a look back to some fun engagement photo shoots I've done over the past few years. Summer is always a good time to push the idea and create energetic concepts. The use of water and go-carts definitely adds energy and motion. If you're planning an engagement session, don't be afraid to get creative with the process. The experience will be a great memory for you and your fiance as well.
